About the Event
As education and civic debate migrate online, how can you help students navigate away from toxicity and enable open-minded, positive discourse?
Creating positive interaction in virtual classrooms is challenging, especially as the polarized outside world threatens to politicize curriculum and student interaction. Navigating charged topics with informed, safe, open-minded discourse has never been more challenging, or more important for educators and students.
Join a cohort of innovative educators from around the country, and a few stellar students, for an interactive discussion on best practice and tools that enable classroom debate that is informed, civil and productive. Discussion will be on the new discourse platform Convertsation, that allows small group synchronous discussion and provides AI-enhanced engagement metrics. (No, you won’t be graded, but participants will be provided a dashboard report of their respective discussion metrics similar to what is provided to teachers using the platform in their classroom.)
